The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. These include both competitive and recreational sports groups, special interest groups, academic societies and some that we are unable to categorise! Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. If you are a current Staffordshire University Student and have enrolled online, then you will have an account waiting.
To activate the account you need to register it .
You will need the information from your university/union card, your University email address and your date of birth
Your username is the same as when logging onto the University Network, BUT Your password is not the same!
You will be asked to choose your own password and confirm it. (It is strongly recommended that you use a different password)
Once you have entered your details, a confirmation email is sent to your University account that you must respond to within 24 hours to validate your account. You will then be able to access the system.
If you set up a guest account but have now enrolled as a student then you should not need to do anything. The system will have given you student status. The only thing to note is that the system will use your University email account to send password reminders and receipts.
If you have enrolled with the University online, then your details are transferred to the Union overnight, so please leave it a day before registering your account on staffsunion.com.
If after this time your details (password, username) are not being recognised on the website then please click here for advice.
