Bucs Fixtures - Disputes & Appeals

If you are unhappy with any matter relating to your fixture you must submit a written report to your Key Staff Member by 10am the following day. Staff will work through the various options that you have available to you and if appropriate assist you to make an appeal to the BUCS office (which must be received by them by 2pm the day after the fixture) However many disputes can be resolved at the time. Knowledge is power so we would advise you to familiarise yourself with the various regulations & procedures below prior to your first game.

BUCS - Guide to Disciplinary Procedures & Appeals (including Frequently Asked Questions)

Playing Under Protest

Teams unhappy with conditions surrounding a particular fixture must complete a Playing Under Protest Form detailing their grievances before playing the match or where applicable during the match.

Please note:

  • Once completed the opposing captain MUST sign the form – this is simply an acknowledgement that a team has concerns about playing conditions. It is not an acknowledgement that the opposing captain accepts the reasons for that concern.
  • That completion of the form allows a team to play the match with the knowledge that they can still appeal to the BUCS Office over playing conditions. It does NOT give any guarantee over the outcome of that appeal.
  • A team having concerns over playing conditions which then starts a match without having completed a Playing Under Protest form forfeits the right to appeal subsequently.
