Breathe City Church Society (Stoke)

This society provides members with regular opportunities to enhance
their CV and overall experience whilst being connected to one of the
largest organisations in the city by taking part in various community
projects and BCC initiatives.

Aims and Objectives:

To serve the Students' Union, University, local community,
students and other SU societies through practical social action
projects in collaboration with inVOLved Volunteering at Staffs and


Campaigning for justice locally, nationally and internationally in
partnership with charitable organisations (e.g. Compassion UK)
and Staffs University Students' Union as well as practically providing
for those in need, through Breathe City Church's 'When... Distribution
Centre.' 'When...' stores, packs and distributes brand new clothing and
household goods to individuals and families through a referral system.

To raise finance for charitable organisations, especially those local to
Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire.

The BCC society also offers a pastoral support programme that students
can access at any time in order to receive emotional support, spiritual
guidance and prayer.

The BCC society is open to all students - Christian or not. Those with a
 desire to make a positive contribution to their local community - namely
Staffs University campus and the surrounding area - and impact an entire
city, will definitely be interested in joining this society.

Meetings usually every other Monday, 6:30pm, Student Activities Space, Students' Union (above Ember Lounge.) Email us for details of next one.
