The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. These include both competitive and recreational sports groups, special interest groups, academic societies and some that we are unable to categorise! Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. Welcome to the Staffs Psychology Society 2011-12.
If you love psychology, then this is definitely the society for you! For just £3 membership, we're planning to organise everything from socials to trips to conferences with some of the country's top psychologists. We're devoted to helping you get the most from your degree; even by attending the amazing events, you log volunteering hours with the university. This will then go onto your CV, something that will definitely help you when job hunting (you even get a certificate!)
We are sponsored by The Graduate pub and therefore benefit from great drinks offers on socials and fundraising events.
We are in the process of going to different universities to sit in on lectures about really interesting subjects, like stress and neuropsychology.
We will also hopefully be going to Freud's house in London and even get special access to some of his rooms & get to see his legendary couch!
We are offering extra help, advice and support with any of your subjects (especially RM!)
We also offer leaflets and information on how to become a member of the BPS and how this benefits your degree & your future. We're most interested in making the society something that every member can shape. If you have any ideas, or things you would like to do then you have the power to make it happen!
