The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. I joined The Students’ Union in 2010 as Welcome Site Manager. After successfully surviving Welcome Week with the support of the Activities department, I took the position of Activities Assistant and then last year organised Welcome Week 2011. I this do alongside being a third year English Lit student.
My role is to do a lot of the admin for inVOLved and to keep in touch and up to date with all you lovely volunteers as well as finding you the best opportunities so that you have a really good all round experience at Staffs. I also support the Activities Co-ordinators, Officers and Manager, and in turn the various clubs and societies, in all areas from advising clubs and societies, various admin duties and spreading the word of the Activities Handbook.
This year I am taking the lead on your Awards Night to make it bigger and better than ever and ensure you all get the recognition you deserve after a fantastic year as well as getting involved with The Diversity Fashion Show to help to make it one of the best events on the union calender!
I'm only available in Stoke, and in Semester 2, my working hours are Monday 10-5, Wednesday 10-5 and Thursday 2-5.
