The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. The Club of the Year award aims to reward the club that has offered the best service to its members, contributed most to the development and promotion of sport at Staffordshire University and/or has made significant improvement over the year. Key areas that are taken into account include:
Clubs who did not attend committee training are not eligible for this award.
This trophy is awarded for outstanding sporting success and achievement, competitiveness, sportsmanship and team spirit. You may nominate any sports team representing Staffordshire University. Please state clearly which team exactly you are nominating, i.e. 1sts, 2nds, etc.
This award recognises the dedication and time volunteer coaches give to make your club everything that it can be. IF your coach has gone above and beyond for your team then that is what this award is for. Please note we will only consider applications for coaches who are registered with the Student Activities Team
