Sponsorship for Clubs & Societies

 

The Students' Union sponsors affiliated Clubs & Societies up to 60% of their core running costs each academic year. This means that for each 40p that a student member pays the Union contributes 60p!

The instructions below provide you with all the information that you need in order to make an application to the Students’ Union for sponsorship for your club or society. Please note the sponsorship application process runs annually from March to May for the following academic year. Activities coming forward for support outside of this period or who have not run for an academic year are eligible to Start Up Funding

 
So here's what you need to do:
 
 
1)     Download and read the following documents:
*         Sponsorship application form
*        Sponsorship Calculator
 
 
3)     Think about what funding you require and gather further evidence, such as quotes or price lists. Use the sponsorship calculator above to start working out running costs, membership targets and a potential membership fee.
 
4)     Complete the application form and return it electronically to your key staff member.
 
5)     Book a sponsorship meeting for at least 3 incoming committee members to attend - this must take place BEFORE Friday 28th May 2010. It may also be beneficial to invite an outgoing committee member. Contact your key staff member in order to book a suitable time. A paper copy of your application and all additional paperwork must be completed in full and brought with you to the meeting

 6)     Notification of your final sponsorship allocation and membership fee will be communicated to you in September.
