The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

Team Staffs is a University wide initiative to encourage pride in our institution. Formed between the Students' Union, the Sports Centres, Faculty of Sport Health and Exercise Staff and representatives from the University, Team Staffs aims to create a common link between groups of people through sport and other activities. In 2010, these representatives met and formed The Sports Management Board, a committee to meet and discuss Staffs Uni's provision and policy for sport at both a competitive elite level, and in terms of participation, using sport for personal development and also health. During the summer, the Sports Management Board developed the Teams Staffs initiative, with the Students' Union taking a lead on branding and launching the identity during Welcome Week. Once put into motion, it became clear that Team Staffs wasn't just about sport here at Staffs, but should include everyone - our Students' Union Societies, University staff members and lecturers, and even people who just wear one of the 2,500 free t-shirts that were distributed at the start of the year. During 2011, we hope Team Staffs will become more prominent and extend its reach to everyone who's involved with Staffs Uni, no matter what that capacity is. We'll be bringing you many events throughout the second semester, including creating Health Week in partnership with Sports Management Board representatives and bringing you the build up to Varsity on March 30th.
