The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. The Student Advice Centre (SAC) offers confidential and impartial advice on a variety of issues, such as: student finance, academic affairs, student housing, debt management etc. In addition, there are a number of online self help materials which you can access from the Advice Guide.Find out more...

Hello and welcome to the Money Doctors home page. The economic storm clouds may be continuing to gather, putting pressure on all our finances, but there is a silver lining: Money Doctors is on campus and our aim is to help you students to keep your finances healthy. We want to ensure that you know what you are entitled to financially as a student and how to manage this so you can avoid money problems and the stress that these can cause and are able to focus on enjoying your time at University and your studies.
You don't need to be in difficulty with your finances to contact us. We're here to help every student at Staffordshire University with any and every question they may have about money; from "What financial help can I get as a student?" and "Can I get a University Bursary?" to "Can you help me with budgeting and controlling spending?" and "Do I have to pay tax?
So far this year the Student Advice Centre and Money Doctors have gained £365,391 for clients.
