The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

There are two ways to vote in SU elections, online or by assisted voting. In order to vote online in the upcoming Elections, you need to have shared your contact details with the Students' Union and registered with our website. At this point in time, the Students' Union takes a snapshot of the list of students and sets that as its electoral roll. To vote by assisted voting, you must ensure you have shared your data with the Students' Union, but you don't need to have registered with the website. Instead you can turn up at a ballot station, which will be spread out across both Stoke and Stafford campuses, and they will authorise you to vote after checking your student details.

So far this year there are approximately 17,800 students with accounts activated, which enables them to participate in Union democracy and make their voices heard.
