The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students’ Union will be holding its elections between February and March, giving students a chance to make a difference and be part of the Leadership Race.
This election will see a great change, with the officer roles changing. We are getting rid of our current officer titles and, informed by a five year strategy (below) we are currently developing, we will create new titles and a new approach. The officers will enjoy greater freedom and encouraged to take on whatever needs to be done, rather than sticking within pre-defined work areas.

The world is changing and fast, so your Union constantly strives to adapt and continue to deliver the best experience for students. That’s why your Union is currently developing a five year strategy that may see the priorities and the services provided by the Union fundamentally change.
Because we are a democratic organisation, a change like this must be approved by our student members, which means you.
