The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.
Staffordshire University Students’ Union is a democratic organisation, working entirely for the benefit of students.
The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. These include both competitive and recreational sports groups, special interest groups, academic societies and some that we are unable to categorise! On Saturday 22nd May, the University’s Leek Road campus will play host to a huge entertainment site spanning the campus for the biggest event of the year, a student institution and the ultimate way to say goodbye to a year of deadlines and hello to summer – the Summer Ball 2010.
Tickets for the Summer Ball cost £40 for standard tickets and £55 for VIP tickets. Due to the ticket purchasing system we use, for purchasing more than four tickets, please select the '4' ticket option and then add your extra ticket requirements in afterwards. We do not issue paper tickets for this event, instead tickets are issued to your Student card – please ensure that you bring this card with you to the event and that all those you are purchasing tickets for arrive with you.
For all students based at Stafford, the price of your ticket includes transport to and from the Summer Ball site and you can choose which time slot suits you best when purchasing your ticket. Just remember to select either the 7:30pm or 9pm coach (travel from Stafford to the Summer Ball site will take approximately 30 minutes) travel ticket (which is free of charge) when you reach the checkout. If you do not require transport, simply select 'None required'. Please note that the transport time you select is your preferred time - we'll try our best to ensure you get your first choice of transport slot.
When you buy Summer Ball standard tickets (at £40 each) in groups of four or more (just select the group size you wish to purchase for on the ticket option), you’ll each receive a £5 drinks voucher to spend on the night. You will need to arrive together, and the person purchasing for the group will be presented with the vouchers on arrival at the Summer Ball. This offer is limited to purchases made before 1st May 2010.
VIP tickets for the Summer Ball 2010 are strictly limited to 200 in total. Your VIP ticket includes a champagne reception, private VIP Lounge and priority access to the Main Stage as well as complementary hot buffet and drinks. The Group Discount offer does not apply to VIP tickets.
