Description
This is a fun and practical qualification with no entrance requirements or final examinations to sit. The Community Sports Leaders Award Level 2 is on the Qualifications and Credits Framework (QCF) and is worth nine credits. The course is mostly practical and you will be taking part in a number of activities and games which will require you to work as part of a team, pair and sometimes alone.
You will not be assessed or tested on your practical sporting ability but you will be assessed on leading a practical sport session, dance session or fun game. You will get to choose what to lead for your final session.
What can a qualified learner of the Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership do?
Community Sports Leaders are qualified to lead groups in sports/activity sessions whilst under the indirect supervision of a suitably qualified member of staff. (e.g. Indirect supervision refers to the supervision being from afar, for example, the learner may be in the sports hall while their supervisor is in an office or classroom down the corridor, the learner may be outside on the playing field while their supervisor is inside a nearby building, or the learner may be outside on a recreation ground while their supervisor is in the next door community building.
This is a FREE COURSE worth £80. You must however pay a £15 deposit which will be reinbursed at completeion of the course.
