Drama and Theatre Arts Lecturer, Deb McAndrew, has won the award for ‘Best New Play’ at the recent UK Theatre Awards.

‘An August Bank Holiday Lark’, written by Deb, explores the impact of the First World War on a rural community in East Lancashire.

The play has already received praise from critics including:
