Our last week as Your Officer Team at Your Students' Union.
Well...the time has finally come!
Unfortunately, you may have noticed that for the past couple of weeks I've been update-less and haven't been telling you what we've been up to! Unfortunately the "wind-down" period for the current team has been anything but that, as my current team have been excitedly helping the 2012-2013 team get ready for their year representing students here at Staffs. In fitting style, this week is shaping up to be just as busy as the last 52!
Our newbies have started the week with their first catch up meeting and a debrief from the Students' Unions 2012 Conference that they've just attended, while the current team are in several places at once! Vic is away at another SU in London, Emma is flying home from her honeymoon in Florida (you could fall out with some people, right?), I'm flicking between Stoke and Stafford before this academic year's final Trustee Board Meeting and Kim is congratulating our Health Graduates at today's Graduation Ceremonies.
For the rest of the week, Kim will be speaking at Sciences' Ceremony tomorrow (lucky thing gets two as Gary is away at BUCS Conference!), Vic at Computing, Engineering and Technology on Wednesday, Emma at Business and Law on Thursday and I'll be delivering the final speeches on Friday for the Faculty I graduated from - Arts, Media and Design.
This week also sees one to one sessions from outgoing and incoming Officers and the last Leadership Team of the year, where all of our managers and Officers will be sitting down to generate individual plans and budgets linked to our overall strategy after approval at today's Trustee meeting (hopefully!).
I'll be circulating a final and individual goodbye sometime late Thursday or Friday, but I absolutely want to say the biggest thank you that I can from my team.
Thank you to all of our staff at the SU for your constant hard work to deliver for our students, thank you to all the University staff who we work with and are so responsive to students' needs and, most importantly, thank you to all the students who make this University what it is and do such amazing things.
Good luck, thank you and enjoy the week!
All the best,
Jamie
