What is the Cop Shop Squad?
Led by PC Simon Stone, our University Police Officer, the Cop Shop Squad is a team of volunteers with one goal - to make Staffordshire University a safer and friendlier place to live.
Working closely with the Staffordshire Police, University Executive, local residents and of course our students, Cop Shop Squad volunteers will develop and deliver essential crime preventation and awareness programmes. Examples include open Window Campaigns, Drink Spiking Awareness and Drug Testing.
What's in this for me?
Your efforts will actively make the campus a safer place to live, supporting PC Stone in serving the student community in the best ways possible! You'll also be working to help other students feel safe and welcomed to Staffordshire University, making the campus a friendlier place to work and study.
Also, you'll get a Cop Shop Squad T-Shirt as well training on critical issues facing students and the police today. All hours can be logged with the Volunteering Scheme, helping you to secure academic credits if you're studying towards a Staffordshire Graduate, Placement or Volunteering Module.
