Former Staffordshire University student Andy Rees has organised a charity rugby league old boy’s match for CLIC Sargent on Saturday 22nd March from 3pm at Trentham RUFC.
There will be two teams taking part Staffs Uni NW V Staffs Uni NE as well as players from the Staffs Uni Womens Rugby League team taking part.
Entry is free and anyone is welcome to come along to what’s set to be a great day out in aid of a fantastic cause. There’ll be collection tins for you to make your contribution, a raffle with the main prize of 2 X Rugby League Challenge Cup Final tickets at Wembley Stadium in August and if the weather holds up they’ll be a BBQ.
Andy is also running in this year’s London Marathon on 13th April to raise more money for the charity.
