Staffordshire University is really keen to continually improve the learning experience of all students.
Where our statistics show that there may be differences in achievement between groups of students, we are particularly keen to introduce initiatives which could help to address this.
Currently we are aware that we need to reduce the attainment gap between black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) students and white students. To help us find ways to do this, we have introduced a BAME Focus Group.
Essentially this group serves as a conduit of ideas and suggestions for making improvements. It aims to meet 4 or 5 times a year and has both staff and students on its membership.
