Movember is here and you can get involved, helping to raise money for this great charity.
You can do it with friends or you can sign up for the Staffs Raise and Give (RAG) Network. By registering with the RAG network you will have the opportunity to compete for a range of prizes that have been supplied by Movember partners HP Sauce and Gillette as well as the Students' Union ranging from entry to events and food vouchers in our venues.
We are looking for anyone that would want to raise money for this fantastic cause. University staff, students, clubs and societies, alumni, halls of residence or even a group of friends. Movember is for everyone whether you are a Mobro or a Mosista.
The rules for taking part is simple.
1. Create your profile and/or team on uk.movember.com and join the Staffs RAG network. Each mo must start the month of November with a shaven face.
2. For the entire month of November each mo bro must grow and groom their moustache.
3. No beards are allowed and this includes the joining of sideburns to your mo.
4. There is to be no joining of the handlebars to your chin. This is a goatee.
5. Each mobro must conduct himself like a gentleman.
As a mosista you can always get involved by wearing a fake moustache or just drawing one on.
Prizes are for Most individual raised, Best Mo – judged by photos posted onto the Staffs RAG Facebook Page, Team Award which will include entrance to an event that has a price of £3.50 and weekly on the spot prizes which will be asking for specific challenges. The first week's challenge is to have a photo at a fireworks display.
