From the moment you enrol as a student at Staffordshire University, you get free membership of Staffordshire University Students' Union.
The Students' Union is here to support, represent and advise you; to provide recreational, social, cultural and sporting activities; and to provide you space and services that add to your University experience.
So that the Students' Union can support you effectively, please remember to agree to opt into the Students’ Union when you enrol online. At stage six of the enrolment process you will be asked if you wish to opt out of being a member of your Students’ Union.
Please be aware by opting out you will be taking away your membership of the Students' Union and will be issued with a non-NUS accredited student card.
As a member of the Students’ Union you will be able to access the following services:
• Voting in the Leadership Race
• Clubs and societies
• Student Advice Centre
• Money Doctors
• Entertainment venues
• Volunteering
• Skills development programme
This means you will not be entitled to become a member of any sport club or society, participate in Union democracy, obtain an NUS Extra card, access venues and advice and receive relevant communication from your Students’ Union.
If at any time you opt out and then wish to change your mind, all the information you need to change that decision can be found at www.staffsunion.com/sharemydata.
