Vice President Rich gives an update on what he has been up to throughout the last week.
It been a while since I've updated everyone on what I have been up to.
Over the last week I have been attending many different boards and committee's, since the annual student forum on Tuesday the 30th which included the AGM I have attended A finance and resources committee in Maccelsfield, this is a board I sit on for NUSSL which is NUS Services Limited. This week I have attended partnerships sub committee for the university which looks into the quality of our partners colleges and institutions international and within the UK.
On Monday we had our student council which allowed us to elect repersentives to sit on univeristy boards which include (academic, experience and quality). Loads of good points were raised at student council which can be seen via the minutes which will appear on this website soon.
Tuesday evening also attended as a university governor the board of governors education committee which takes a very high level view at the processes and outcomes the university has made in regards to anything that relates to education. This includes academic reviews to the student experience.
Wednesday I will be catching up on emails and reporting back to the team about my findings over the last 2 days also I will hopefully get to see some of our teams compete in regular BUCs fixtures and wish them luck. #proudtobestaffs
Thursday I will be looking into our green impact project and progressing forward if you are interested in volunteering your time within the green impact project which this year will be based around computers then please send me an email at Richard.bayes@staffs.ac.uk
Saturday I will be in Stafford for the open day for new potential students showing them around and talking about the students union.
It will be a long week but with a lot of positive outcomes.
P.S. add your face to the 2012 demo banner going to London on November 21st at www.addmyface.co.uk this allows students to get involved with the demo without actually having to attend London.
