The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. Welcome to Staffordshire University Men's Rugby Union Club 2011-2012.
We are a University club currently with two teams competing in the BUCS Midlands Conference League. We are a very well respected team and have enjoyed a long list of honours within the last few years, including Midlands Conference 2B Champions 2009-2010 and Midlands Conference Cup champions in the same year. The club itself is well known throughout the region due to its impressive and fearsome squad as well as its frequent, and often surprising, wins over higher leaugue opposition. This has afforded us some external sponsorship with some local, national and even international companies!
The 50 plus members currently in our ranks are all very committed to the game and we welcome all levels of player to come and join us. Training is undertaken by top level coaches and development is promoted through consitant weekly training and weekly matches throughout the midlands. Training is undertaken on the Leek Road training pitches (by the entrance to the Leek Road campus, next to the Law and Ashley buildings)
Training takes place on Monday nights and Tuesday nights at 1700 until 1900 (provisional times) and we play matches every Wednesday afternoon.
If you enjoy the wonderful game of Rugby and want to develop your skills, want to join a fun club with an enjoyable social scene, or if you wish to get fit you are welcome to come and join our squad and we encourage even the most inexperienced player to come and GIVE IT A GO!!
