The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. Staffordshire Bright Futures is a career focused society; creating an innovative platform where you can network with fellow like minded students and top graduate employers. Equipping and empowering you with relevant employability skills sought after by employers; giving you a competitive edge in the job market!!! We are a subsidiary of a national organisation called Bright Futures Societies which exist in over 40 universities all over the UK, working in partnership with businesses from all sectors to equip students with the skills they need and providing a link between top graduate employers and students. This year we aim to: - Organise industry focused presentations and career fairs in collaboration with the Careers Service to help you make informed decisions about insight days, internships, placements and graduate opportunities. - Organise workshops to equip you with relevant employability skills sought after by employers. E.g. Commercial awareness, Interview techniques etc. - Organising industry trips such as visits to graduate employer’s offices in the aim of inspiring you of the different career paths available to them within business. - Encourage you to participate in competitions to enhance their employability skills and also to put business theory into practice. - HAVE FUN!!! We aim to organise a society socials at our host bar (TBC) were you can make new friends, relax and let your hair down!!!! Being a member will allow you to benefit from our society and all the wonderful events going on through the year.
