How do I log in?

If you are a student and have consented to the Union receiving your details, an account should be waiting for you to activate it. Full details of how to activate the account are here

What do I need to do if it won't let me log on?

All you need to do is go to the University Information points (Flaxman Building in Stoke and in the main entrance foyer in Stafford) and inform them you would like to update your enrolement form to give access to the Students' Union. We upload data over night, so once this is complete we can put you on the system, which means you will have access to buying tickets, have the chance to vote on line, see member obly content and upload your pics from loads of nights.

Where can I find the Union?

The main offices are based beside and above the ember lounge at College Road and in between the terrace and lounge in Stafford.  Our friendly staff are here to help or signpost you in the right direction.

How many guests can i sign in to a Union Venue?

A Staffordshire University student with a valid student card can sign up to two guests in for any event, however please be aware they will pay non NUS prices as we keep the costs down for our students.  You will need to make your guests aware that they will be required to provied a form of photo ID on the door (passport / driving licence) to gain entry.  You need to be aware that you take direct responsibility for your guests conduct whilst on our premises and therefore should any issues arise you will be held responsible as the member.

What time is the Union reception open?

The Union facilities are open from 9am - 8pm every day in term time. Outside of term time we are generally open 9am - 6pm, however keep an eye on the front page of the site for our opening times during these periods.

Can I get discounts with my Union card?

In 2006, the National Union of Students introduced the NUS Extra Card, and has made this the focus for its negotiation of improved discounts for students - particularly from on-line retailers.

This card can be purchased on line for £10, and has some significant offers across a range of services. Also for each card purchased, £4 comes back to the local Students Union to support its activity for students.

There are still some local suppliers who will accept the University ID card, for discounts, but the NUS Extra Card is increasingly becoming the national student discount card.
