The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. These include both competitive and recreational sports groups, special interest groups, academic societies and some that we are unable to categorise! Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. Your Students’ Union and, in particular, your Commercial Services Officer Emma Harris, know how much the shops and venues mean to many students. Your loyalty to these services means that we can keep providing quality social spaces and shops, but your custom alone is not enough. We need to know what you really think about our Commercial Services. We want to hear your ideas, we want to hear what you’re loving and by the same token, we want to hear what you’re not loving! In case you’re not sure what services are provided by the union, here is a list of the shops and venues run by us that we want your opinions on.

The Students’ Union is inviting all students to an exciting new forum. The forum will meet monthly in Stoke and in Stafford in your venues. This is a huge opportunity for all students, especially those with an interest in events, sales and venues. There will be free light refreshments provided and if you can’t make the forum for any reason then you can still take part on Facebook or by emailing Emma Harris on e.harris@staffs.ac.uk.
