Making the Mental Health and Wellbeing Society a network will show that the students union are there to help all the time and it will nerve disapere as it already helps with  self-care activites on a reguar basis. and dedicated to helping students get the best  social support  as members can meet others of a similar mindset and sheer there  experiences .

Every month, we are doing an educational presentation which approaches a particular aspect of mental health. During and afterwards, there will opportunities for discussion and a chance for everybody to express what's on their minds. Also, we will be doing self-care activites every two weeks such as walks in the park, art therapy, medication etc.

Everybody is welcome to join regardless of age, race, gender etc. and it is our priority to make sure you feel comfortable and safe in all of our sessions. If you have any concerns, please contact the committee and we will do our best to fix it for you.

While we are here to support everyone who approaches us, we are not to counsel or give professional advice to students. However, we can signpost you to the appropriate services and help.

A bit about the committee:
Billie Levisohn (Manager): I am studying Mathematics and Statistics and work for the Student's Union at Ember Lounge. I have been dealing with depression and OCD for the past six years and seen first hand how it affects the sufferer and their friends/family. Dealing with mental illness whilst trying to keep on top of academics/work can be particularly difficult which is why I endeavour to help people at this university get through this.
