Students living in Stoke may have been sent a fake 'letter' from the council - here's the truth.
Students living in Stoke-on-Trent may have recieved a letter to their homes claiming recycling in their area will be stopping. This is NOT true.
From the councils website...
"Scam Alert - Bogus Recycling Letters
Problem
Local residents have reported receiving letters which claim to be from the City Council. The letters state that, due to budget restrictions, the recycling collections will no longer be carried out.
Residents are advised to put their recycling in the normal rubbish, or to take it to either Hanford or Burslem tip.
It is not clear what the purpose of these letters is, but the City Council has no plans to end the recycling collections and recycling should continue to be put out in accordance with the collection schedule.
