The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. Staffs Uni Mens Basketball is one of the highly rated sports club at the university. (by the team)
We are pleased to say that we have one of the highest foreign attention rates for international students for the sports clubs in the university, this makes for some great conversations off the court and some international flair on it! Staffs Men's currently plays in the Midlands Division 3A and are hoping to recruit some players this year that will help us to progress and maybe even get promoted..
We have featured in the Universitys sporting highlight (Varsity) for the past 2 years winning 1 and losing 1 game (by 1 basket) this year we can hopefully beat Keele and make it 2-1 to Staffs in basketball.
We also did extremely well in our league, finishing joint third, with a one point win over Birmingham City University, the highlight of the league campaign.
