A successful combination of student leadership and professional management support ensures that Staffordshire University Students’ Union provides effective representation and a wide range of activities and services to some 16,000 members primarily at the University’s Stafford and Stoke campuses.
The Students’ Union is a “not for profit“ organisation which receives a block grant from the University to provide services to the membership as well as generating surpluses from trading activities that help to support and develop Student Media, Student Activities ,Student Advice, and other non commercial activities. This exciting post offers a placement student or recent graduate a chance to work at the heart of Staffordshire University’s diverse and multicultural student community.

Volunteer Opportunity - Badminton England
This is the most exciting time there has ever been to volunteer in the Olympic sport of badminton. Staffordshire University Students' Union is working in partnership with BADMINTON England to offer a student an 11-month voluntary officer position based at the University. The Officer will be responsible for increasing badminton participation across campus by working closely with the Student Activities Team, BADMINTON England staff and a number of other partners in sport.
The Officer position will provide the right candidate with essential experience within the sport development industry. We are looking for a talented individual with drive, passion, determination and a genuine desire to make a true difference to our sport. The post holder will be expected to have a good knowledge of sports development, good communication, influencing, leadership and problem solving skills, together with the ability to form strong partnerships to enable project delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a delivery budget and reasonable expenses will be covered.
