The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. Women's Lacrosse has been running for two years and although we haven't been around for long there has been significant development and it just keeps getting better! We also have the privilege to have a level 2 coach to help us train now who is absolutely spectacular.
We cater for all levels regardless of what your motivation is to join us, so if you wish to keep fit, compete or just want to try something new- we'll welcome you with open arms! A lot of girls have been shy about joining because they literally know nothing about Lacrosse-neither did most of us when we first joined! We'll teach you everything we know and help and encourage you every step of the way.
We're not just a sports team we're a social team as well, we have socials on Wednesdays, we don't take anything too seriously and as it applies to all three Lacrosse Teams- we're always a good laugh!
Basically the game consists of passing a ball between players' sticks with the aim of shooting past the goalie and scoring a goal!
Matches take place on Wednesdays around 1 (Home and Away) and training sessions are Monday and Friday 4-5pm. Socials will also take place weekly, with the Mixed and Men's Lacrosse teams, which is loads of fun with fancy dress themes and usually ending up in LRV!
