PC Gareth Richardson: 

Staffordshire University's Police Liason Officer, PC Gareth Richardson is based at College Road in the Cadman building. PC Richardson has served as our University Liason Officer for a year, engaging with students to promote safety on and around campus. Before this role, PC Richardson worked in different policing roles within Staffordshire police including, response team, engaging in neighbourhood policing teams, and obtained 5 years experence of mentoring student police officers. 

Nicole Jones, Policing Student/Society Manager:

Cop Shop's society manager at the Students' Union is Nicole Jones. Nicole is studying level 6 BSc (Hons) Policing and Criminal Investigation and aspires to join Staffordshire Police. Nicole is passionate about supporting and developing engagment with students to encourage boosting empolyability skills and on campus safety and security.

Cop Shop is a space where anyone is welcome, whether you are intrested in joining a police force in the future, looking to go into the public service or criminal justice sector, or if you just want to gain some extra knowledge and experience to practical sides of policing, Cop Shop is for you! Cop Shop isn't just about building skills to join the police, Cop Shop is also a space where students can work to enhance campus safety and security, working alongside student networks and engagement.

As a Cop Shop student volunteer you can assist in this work alongside Staffordshire Police with raising awareness around crime prevention, promoting safety campaigns as well as gaining experience and building network connections that will enhance your CV for the future. Cop Shop is an excellent opportunity for students to bridge the gap between the academic element of a degree and the practical and interactive elements that volunteering offers. 

Volunteer with the Cop Shop at Staffs | 2 to 4 hours per week, flexible around your commitments

• Lead on crime prevention and promoting student safety

• Develop skills in project and events management

• Make a difference in the University and local area

Be A Cop Shop Team Leader | 4 to 6 hours per week, flexible around your commitments

• Coordinate campaigns around crime prevention and student safety

• Manage projects, events and volunteers

• Make a difference in the University and local area
