The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.

The Students' Union sponsors and supports a diverse range of student-run groups. Legends and The Lounge are the Union's Beaconside campus venues. The Lounge is a recently refurbished, stylish bar serving great food and coffee as well as the traditional bar refreshments seven days a week. I joined Staffs SU as Student Activities Co-ordinator in 2009, having finished my law degree and Masters at Birmingham University - promptly doing something totally unrelated to my degree, but very much related to my social life at Uni!
Alongside the Stafford based Co-ordinator, I support clubs and societies in all manner of areas related to getting involved and running a group - everything from helping groups to start up, advising on fundraising/health and safety/finance/anything else that crops up, and encouraging students to 'give it a go' with our one off activities!
I also help the rest of the team with planning events like Varsity, Activities Fairs and Awards Nights, so feel free to contact me about anything to do with Student Activities and I'll try my best to get your query answered!
In 2010-2011 I'll also be the Fixtures Co-ordinator, and more info on that can be found on the BUCS Fixtures pages.
You can usually find me Monday-Friday in the Activities Office in the Student Space at Stoke, but if you're coming in especially then it's best to email me and make sure I'm available.
