We need your help to ensure that we recognise the most deserving groups and individuals. Who really deserve to be recognised for their input this year? Any registered Club or Society member, member of OMG and Welcome Week Managers can nominate an individual or society in any of the respective categories outlined.

EMAIL YOUR NOMINATIONS TO activities@staffs.ac.uk

So how does it work?

  • Any registered Club or Society member may nominate a fellow student for Colours and Awards, and on an individual basis. You do not need to hold a committee meeting to decide who deserves them, make your own individual educated decision.
  • Nominations must be supported by two other Club or Society members’ signatories - so anyone who is a paid up member the Club or Society.
  • Any Student Activities staff member may nominate students for Colours and Awards.
  • Each nomination must include evidence and/or a supporting statement to justify the nomination. Attach as much information as necessary to the nomination form. Pictures, quotes, and any interesting evidence are welcomed!
  • Students’ Union Colours are awarded to individuals in recognition of outstanding commitment, achievement and success within Student Activities.
  • Awards are only made to University Students, and on rare occasions to Staff, Coaches or Instructors, and each nominee must be a paid and registered member of, or working with the group that they have been nominated from.
  • The Awards Committee shall decide upon each colours and award nomination and its credibility. Their decision shall be final and will be done anonymously. The committee may utilise other sources such as Coaches, Union members or University staff when considering nominations.
  • Individuals may not nominate themselves for awards, however Club/Society committee members may nominate their Club/Society
