The Ember Lounge is Staffordshire University Students Union second Stoke Venue. Found at the centre of the College Road Campus directly below the Students Union Offices. Winner of Best Late Night Venue Midlands and Wales and a Best Bar None award, the Ember Lounge offers something for everybody; whether its an early morning espresso to get you ready for the day, a great value, quality lunch or a night of cocktails and entertainment, we aim to deliver.
2009 sees some more changes in response to what you suggested - Regular DJ slots are still in place, our massive Karaoke nights are still running every other Tuesday, alternating with our alternative night - Revolver - on the other Tuesdays. There have been a few changes to the cocktail menu, and a big overhaul of the food menu, with all your old favourites joined by an even wider choice of new items. Thursday Curry Club continues at the same great price and our Corona Mexican Night on a Monday still run the same fantastic offers - as well as a coach service, including return travel to and from the club and entry, to Liquid in Hanley for just £2. The Comedy Club has switched to once a term, but is now on a Thursday night so that those who travel home at the weekend don't miss out, and we're still offering advance tickets to Gobble every Wednesday night!
Over Summer we've got ourselves a MASSIVE new projector screen and will be showing live sport every weekend and thoughout the week. And the hugely popular Glowstick nights and Embeerfest will be making their presence felt during the course of the year - so keep your eye out for details

Coffee
All of our coffee, tea, chocolate and sugar is fairtrade as of September 2007. What's more, our prices are more than competitive, and there's a great range to choose from. As well as simple americanos and a choice of teas, we offer our ever popular hot chocolate with cream and either marshmallows or a flake (or spoil yourself with both!). What's more, we also offer alternatives such as decafinated coffee, soya milk and sweeteners. So pop in for a boost any time from 9am until 10pm, relax in the venue or grab one to take away.
Menu
A brand new menu for 08/09 - with all your old favourites, plus an even wider selection of snacks and meals at a great price. Breakfasts, toasties and speciality sandwiches are joined by a new choice of salads, pasties and extra fillings. Brought direct to your table, and served all day from 9am until 10pm. Plus, of course, don't forget our special nights on a Monday and Thursday (Mexican and Curry respectively)!
