Bal Deol, a 22-year-old Staffs student, has made national news after highlighting the overpricing that she has faced with Stoke-on-Trent based taxis.
She went undercover, and exposed several firms who have been making extra money by claiming that carrying her wheelchair consituted over payment. On average, the cost of her trips were about two-thirds more.
Bal said: "As some of you know I have had a few issues with wheelchair accessible taxis during my time at uni.
"I have been overcharged time and time again.
"I felt so passionate about this issue I took it to the BBC, who are now covering this issue on BBC One Inside Out."
