The venue received the Most Improved Award, beating all other unions in the country.
Staffordshire University Students' Union's venues have all been recognised by the Best Bar None scheme.
Ember Lounge in Stoke was the most successful, being decorated with the Most Improved Award. Best Bar None's accreditor said that the management had made a concerted effort to display all necessary posters and information in a prominent position for customers to see, and staff members seemed friendly and professional. The judge particularly admired the very good use of posters at the entrance, and that the security staff ensured only people with SU cards could enter the premises.
The Lounge in Stafford and LRV on Leek Rd in Stoke were also commended for their efforts, with both securing silver awards. Both venues had improved in a number of areas and improved on the bronze rating received last year.
