NUS has an exciting opportunity for five commissions from student artists to be presented at the European launch of Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS), on Friday 9 October 2015, at the Eden Project in Cornwall.

SOS is the new international alliance of student organisations collaborating to progress their work on social responsibility and environmental sustainability, and the event will feature contributions from student leaders as well as internationally renowned environmentalists Sir Tim Smit and Jonathon Porritt.

NUS are looking for creative responses to the brief: students at the forefront of change and taking the lead in the fight against climate change. Works will be installed continuously from 20.00 – 21.30, in the Med and Rainforest biomes (housing the world’s largest indoor rainforest).

Proposals could be for new work or existing work adapted to the brief, in any medium that can be installed within the biome, with or without a live performance element. Five x £500 bursaries are available, which are intended to cover all necessary materials, travel and accommodation, as well as your artist fee. Good luck!
