Following your feedback around the quality of service in LRV on certain nights, the Students' Union has come up with a list of changes it is implementing immediately to help improve your experience.
You said that there was too little bar space, meaning you were queuing for a drink for too long. To overcome this, your Students' Union will open two temporary bars tonight to ease the congestion. The first bar will be a bottle bar which will stock a range of bottles sold in LRV. The second bar will be a VK bar, located outside in the smoking area, with a special offer on VK of just £2.50 a bottle. Plus we will have Jagermeister floorwalkers, allowing you to buy it without queuing at the bar.
We know there were some issues around entry at Gobble on Wednesday 25 September between 11pm and midnight even if you had purchased a ticket in advance. To remedy this, the Students' Union will guarantee any student with an advance ticket entry as long you are in the advance queue before 11pm tonight. For students that appear after this time we cannot guarantee your entry. Entry will then depend on our legal capacity restrictions, as to how many people we are allowed to let in on a first come, first served basis.
