The result for the all-student referendum has been confirmed.

The referendum asked students: "Following the decision to close Stafford campus, do you have confidence in the executive of Staffordshire University?"

After three days of polling, in tandem with the Leadership Race voting, there was a total of 368 votes. The result was 261 voters opted for no, 86 opted for yes and 21 abstained.

Under the Students' Union's constitution a referendum must receive 500 votes or more to be classed as quorate and therefore mandate the Union to act.

12:50pm on 23 Nov 16 In my opinion, the idea of having different units as the structure suggests, seem to be logical the sense that it looked tailored to address the need of various categories - age bracket, nationalities, etc. But on the other hand, it defeats the aim of community and the variety it enhances both in iteraction of knowledge and culture. Also it seem to create more and more activities scrambling for limited time and space, taking vital time of studies from the community.
