The scheduled work will mean that students will not be able to access their H: drive, wireless, internet (on campus), Blackboard, SITS, the library catalogue or externally hosted applications between 08.30 and 17.00 on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April.

We recognise that many students have deadlines over the next week or so and that a lack of access to University systems over the weekend may disrupt preparations.

We raised these issues with the University and have managed to secure a 48 hour extension for submissions that currently fall between Saturday 25th April and Friday 1st May.

This means that:

·       If you have work to be submitted digitally through Blackboard, you will have an extension of precisely 48 hours. For example, work due to submitted at 11.59pm on Monday 27 April will now be required by 11.59 Wednesday 29 April 2015.

·       If you have work which you need to physically submit to a member of staff or Faculty office between Monday 27 - Wednesday 29 April, you will also have an extension of 48 hours. For example, work due to submitted at 5pm on Tuesday 28 April will now be required by 5pm Thursday 30 April 2015.

·       If you have work which you need to physically submit to a member of staff or Faculty office between Thursday 30 April - Friday 1 May, your new submission deadline is Tuesday 5 May 2015.

Please note that some types of assessment (such as presentations and demonstrations) may need to take place as scheduled next week. Please contact your Faculty should you require any further clarification.
