Hey Again

So we're on our final weeks of the projects. In the past 2 weeks, I have been finishing my final hours of surveying, I did all of these hours at the stoke campus. These last two weeks were the most enjoyable as I was really interested in people’s opinions and finally started to notice different patters emerging. I noticed that a lot of people were using the same reason for not working in part time employment along with other things. I also enjoyed the remaining hours of the project as I got to speak to people who were from all different courses about their jobs and various different things to do with the survey, and it was nice for them also, it meant that I got a lot more information from them while interacting with other students, i know this will help when it comes to analyzing the data.

Before doing my hours I had to change the survey a little, as we were no longer recruiting for the SEOTY awards. I talked with kathy about how the SEOTY evening went, as I was unable to attend, she said that it went really well, and had recently found out that Staffordshire University came joint 1st in the number of nominations out of approximately 50 other universities, i thought this was fantastic, and rewarding for me to know that we helped somewhat! (A link to an article about the night is at the bottom).

The next steps of the project will be to analyze the data and write the report. I am looking forward to this as well as being slightly nervous, as I have never written a report like this one before, but will be really grateful for the skills I’m going to gain from the experience, on top of the ones I have already gained! There are around 15 hours left of the project to do this report in, and will be sharing this with Emma, I know we have our work cut out as we both know how many surveys we did, which was a lot.

I will update my Blog in the next few weeks when we start the analysis.
