In the rollercoaster of romantic relationships, our partner's actions can deeply affect our mental well-being, often without them even realising it. Similarly, our own actions can have an impact on them, too. But talking about these issues can be tough.
To address this issue, a new campaign has been launched, aiming to spark open dialogue and find constructive solutions. The campaign, titled "I Wish You Knew," encourages individuals to share their experiences and observations regarding the impact of certain behaviours on mental health within romantic relationships.

"We want to create a safe space where people can come together to discuss these important issues," says Jael, founder of YesLove!, the online platform behind the campaign. "By sharing our stories and insights, we can raise awareness and support each other in finding healthier ways to navigate relationships."

So, how can students get involved? It's simple:

1. Visit yeslove.co.uk and sign up for an account.

2. Participate in the campaign by posting in the community section of the platform. Use the hashtag  #IWishYouKnew followed by a statement about something you wish your current or past partner knew that affected your mental health. Share why it had or continues to have that impact.

3. Alternatively, share an action you took that may have unintentionally affected your partner's mental health, and express how you would like to make amends if possible

4. Or, discuss something you've observed that significantly impacts the mental health of individuals in romantic relationships.

By joining the conversation, students can contribute to a greater understanding of the complexities of mental health in relationships and help create a supportive community for all. Let's start talking and making positive changes together.
