The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.
Staffordshire University Students’ Union is a democratic organisation, working entirely for the benefit of students.

VOTE Vic Casambros: #1 for Communications Officer
Good afternoon, my name is Russell, I’m a wilderne... ok, maybe not. My name is Vic Casambros, and I’ve been heavily involved with this university from the moment I arrived through my work as a Senior Student Ambassador. My favourite project being a Senior Mentor during the Step Ahead Summer Schools.
In November you, my fellow students, elected me as the Local Students’ Officer for the Stafford Campus. Once again I’m here to campaign on realistic, achievable and honest policies that I feel shall benefit you, the voting students of Staffordshire University.
I’m running for Communications Officer, a position I feel very passionate about. It’s all well and good having an active campaigning Students’ Union, however if no one knows what going on then that’s a sign the Union has still failed you.
What are my Key Policies?
• Union Transparency Students will always know what the union and officers are working on for you and where we’re spending your money to improve your student experience.
• Increased Officer Accountability. Too many people are questioning who the officers are and what they actually do for you. A daily blog shall be created to keep you informed with all the issues and results we achieve for you the students.
• Poster Policy. This year has seen our Uni become an eyesore, with excessive numbers of posters everywhere; only to be blown away and litter our campus.
• An interactive Calendar on the website and in reception areas of the union, showing where your officers are and what we’re doing for you; as well as highlighting key up and coming events from Health Weeks, EID, campaigns and venue events.
• Better Promotions in Stoke & Stafford. This year we will have a much more proactive promo team.
• Electronic Voting
• An overhaul of OMG.
• Dyson Airblades
• An evening social/fun bus.
I promise to do all of these things for you AND you can hold me to that! The Future’s Bright, The Future’s VIC staffs UNIty manifesto @ www.staffsunity.com
