The Students’ Union is run by students for students – that means we’re completely dedicated to representing students at Staffs and helping provide what they want from their student experience. That covers everything from advice and support, great venues and events to representation, sports clubs, activities and even a dedicated student media service.
We’re constantly striving to ensure the best possible experience for all students at Staffs and free membership of the Students’ Union is automatic on enrolling at Staffordshire University. That means our students get to have their say in what we do and how we do it.
Staffordshire University Students’ Union is a democratic organisation, working entirely for the benefit of students.

VOTE Fee Wood: #1 for President
Hi! My name is Fiona (Fee) Wood and “I believe that students deserve better!” and that the “Students’ Union needs officers who actually DO what they say they are going to do.” That’s why I’m running to be your president. I want to be there to ensure that YOUR Students’ Union delivers what YOU deserve and that its officers work for YOU! I want to guarantee that the Students’ Union gives you more than it gave you last year and continues to give you more year after year!
In the past year we have seen the union concentrate on global politics and not the students or the student experience. It is time for this to change. It is time for the union to come back to the students, be student friendly and proactive on student issues.
I will listen to students and act on students’ needs I will work to increase the awareness of student safety I will fight against the BNP and intolerance on our campus and in our community I will fight against the increase on tuition fees I will work to repair the union and university reputation to gain a better student experience I will work with the faculties to make sure all feedback is informed, useful and of high quality I will make sure that the sporting facilities offered by the university are increased for students and available at the times that students need them I will redevelop Legends into a night club you actually want to go to (and not just with a lick of paint), as well as work with Ember Lounge so the wait for food does not take up your entire break I will give you great value for money on all union services whether it’s a juice for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch or a ticket for a night out I will fight for STUDENTS
