Your Officers for 2009-2010!
Executive Officers
5 Full Time Officers and 4 Part Time Officers make up the Union’s Executive Committee, who oversee the day-to-day running of the organisation and ensure its actions are student focused. The Executive Officers are the trustees of the Union. They have the responsibility for representation on general issues, and represent students on a wide range of university boards and committees as well as locally, regionally and nationally.
The new Executive Officers took up their posts on 1st August 2009.
Council Officers
A number of Part Time Officers make up the Union Council along with the Executive Officers. Council is the voice of the Union, making strategic decisions about the Union and working with other local and national bodies. These officers also work alongside the University to make sure that they do what matches your needs. This means working in partnership on everything from what is happening on your course to ensuring that campus-building developments are providing you with facilities that you need.
Council Officers will take up their post for the first Council of the new academic year, in September 2009.
