About Cultural Society
Welcome to Cultural Society!
We are a refreshed and rebranded society rooting from the previous ''Oriental Society''. While our name has changed , the values , ideas and vision of the society as well as its purpose of bringing people together , have not and will not change.
Cultural Society is an inclusive society that aims to create a community; uniting and celebrating the values of all cultures and ethnicities. Everyone is welcomed to share and learn more about other cultures and heritages , meet new people and have fun in weekly social events!
Cultural Society's Goals
We want to promote cultural awareness and diversity across the university by creating a community that teaches different values and cultures, making sure no one feels left out by including everyone from different backgrounds and cultures. We believe that everyone should have the chance to share their culture and heritage and feel comfortable doing it , especially the international students. Our main goal is to help create life long connections and for everyone within the society to eel welcome and safe. This is the best opportunity for individuals to not only share their cultures but also find other people with similar cultures , and come together and express themselves.
Cultural Society Events
We intent on keeping not just the previous values and visions, but also the same energy and enthusiasm the old society had.
We will be meeting once a week :Thursday's 6pm!!!
We are conducting weekly and active social hangouts ,cultural sessions and showcasing your cooking talents in our monthly ''bring your own culture's food'' and many more food aimed events .Other fun social sessions will include game, quiz, study, bowling, movie, and karaoke nights, and many more. We may also introduce trips to other UK cities.
Collabs
We will be collaborating with other societies within the university and potentially societies from other universities .
