Creative Support Team Opportunities | Joining your Students' Union Team
Here at your Students' Union we're proud of the amazing range of things we offer to make sure that your experience at Staffs is excellent.
Behind the scenes, our Marketing and Communications team makes sure that you know about what we're doing, producing high quality and engaging content so that you are Proud to be Staffs.
New for 2021, we're introducing our Creative Support Team; a team of talented people from our University community who will help us to create this amazing quality content, whilst working as a self-employed freelancer.
To be successful as part of our Creative Support Team you will:
Be self-employed, and work on a project basis (opportunities will be ad-hoc)
Be a confident communicator with a flair for your creative talent. You do not need to be part of any particular course to be considered for a contract
Have excellent organisation skills, with proven experience of working to deadlines
Have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
Ideally be a Staffordshire University student or graduate, though we welcome applications from outside our community too
Skills we're looking for:
Our Graphic Designers will be required to produce a range of both physical and digital assets for use in the promotion of all of the Unions projects and services. These could include club-night event design, awareness campaign work and branding development. Skills in designing for a range products and services would be advantageous and should have a demonstratable portfolio of work of a professional standard.
Our Videographers need to be competent in the filming and editing of high-quality content to produce a professional and engaging output suitable to our Student audience. Must have access to own equipment and software for producing content.
Our content creation team members are enthusiastic and well-organised, supporting the day to day operations of our busy Marketing and Communications team. Experience of creating engaging social media content, writing news articles, updating website content and working as part of a wider project team would be advantageous. However, we want clear communicators who love to interact with others.
We are looking for creative individuals to supplement our online presence with engaging animated content. Applicants must be able to supply examples of previous work undertaken and have appropriate software and hardware to produce content.
Our Web designer must have experience in building content and updating websites with knowledge of HTML and accessibility requirements for our online presence.
To get involved, you will need to complete our registration, telling us a little bit about and providing a link to your portfolio, or some examples of your work. All registrants will be automatically given access to our Microsoft Teams community for our Creative Support Team, where you'll be able to view and accept upcoming contracts for projects.
