The GG collective got up to many spooky shenanigans, ranging from a scavenger hunt to sing alongs! Participants battled to be the best-dressed and fun photoshoots ensued.
Proud to Shout About is a platform for students to celebrate their successes in being part of the union. Whether it’s running societies or simply moments that make you proud, this is the space to share them. It’s all about highlighting the effort, dedication, and passion that students put into their university life and giving them the recognition they deserve.
Recently, the GG collective held a casual themed gaming event where their members could chill out and co-mingle whilst enjoying spooky drinks and singing along to music!
Participants were encouraged to come in costume and partake in their costume contest in hopes of being crowned the winner and showing off their look. The participants were split into groups of four where the best dressed would ascend to the next round until reaching the finale. However, this year marks the first instance of co-winners! A round of applause to all the people who participated.

Between various societies providing sweets and new connections, there was pages hidden around the venue as part of a scavenger hunt for a secret prize. Each page held a clue about where the next one would be, pointing players towards various societies and activities. At the end, participants could show pictures of each page at the main stage and be given their prize. While no one claimed it this time around, it has given more ideas on something similar for the next event and how to keep GG fresh and engaging for all of its members.
Despite the dark and stormy weather, GG kept the energy high with music (including a couple of impromptu singalongs and some dancing in the venue) and encouraged members to check out the custom drinks. Additionally, each society was given time to have a photoshoot at the event and have fun taking photos with the digital camera. Whether they involved mountains of plushies, showing off costumes, or several moments of the hosts being caught off guard, much fun was had.
