In this Proud to Shout About It, we're covering Mountaineering's recent trip to Wales!
Proud to Shout About is a platform for students to celebrate their successes in being part of the union. It’s all about highlighting the effort, dedication, and passion that students put into their university life and giving them the recognition they deserve.
Today, we're looking at Mountaineering's recent trip to Wales, on the 24th-26th April 2026 SUMC went on a trip to North Wales (specifically Tremadog), partaking in many different activities:
"Over the course of the weekend we got up to plenty of fun activities such as outdoor climbing, kayaking, canyoning and zip-wiring through caverns at Zip World!"
Alongside these activities, the club took time to explore the local area:
"We .. spent our evenings toasting marshmallows over the fire. This trip was an absolutely amazing experience and one we would all love to repeat."
In summary, the committee of Mountaineering say that this trip was an absolutely amazing experience and one they would all love to repeat.
