The Staffs Computing Society and LGBTQ+ society worked hard this April to bring a new milestone to University of Staffordshire - the first student-group led UK-wide technology conference!
With over 70 attendees from around the country, 8 guest speakers and talks galore - attendees left with full bellies, resources to support their mental health journeys, practical advice to enter various industries, new connections and goody bags.
This event proved that anything is achievable as a student group. Despite a last-minute venue change, the team persevered with the support of the University and Student Engagement teams to bring early careers and students alike an opportunity unlike no other.
From exploring personal journeys, disability, neurodivergence, career changers, gender and underrepresented backgrounds, this event put inclusion first, and Staffs back on the map.
